Why G10 instead of metal

G10 is built from many layers of woven glass fibre pressed together with epoxy resin. It stays light for its size, it will not rust or corrode, and it does not go ice cold in your hand the way bare metal does in winter. The 25 mm slab gives the piece real heft at about 200 g while keeping the whole thing non-metallic — useful if you want something that will not set off a metal detector on the way into a venue.

Handling and care

The four 29 × 24 mm holes are deliberately generous, so the grip works with or without gloves. The palm rest is radiused rather than square, which spreads pressure across the base of your hand instead of digging in. Wipe it down with a damp cloth; avoid prolonged soaking and keep it out of direct sun for long periods. The matte finish can be refreshed with a light application of silicone oil.
